Laughing Dog Boats was established by Susan Meredith in 2010. The canal environment had captivated her from early childhood. Her love of boats, the inland waterways and the vibrant, diverse community that canals support eventually led her to buy a boat and to begin cruising through her retirement!
After living on a variety of narrow boats for several years, she bought 'Laughing Dog' and conceived the idea for Laughing Dog Boats!
In 2016, Escape the Rat Race acquired Laughing Dog Boats as a means of diversifying their offering of liveaboard boats. All boats are suitable for extended cruising, properly licensed, insured and maintained at a realistic cost. So you too can live the dream!
